How stablepad actually works.
Overview
stablepad is a Solana launchpad for tokens quoted in stablecoins. Meteora launches use a stablecoin-quoted Dynamic Bonding Curve — USDC live today. pump.fun launches currently use SOL and have no stablecoin reserve.
Three rules define the platform:
- Clear quote assets: stablecoin trading on Meteora and native SOL trading on pump.fun.
- Verifiable reserves: every balance we show is read from Solana and links to Solscan.
- No invented backing: we never present ordinary liquidity as guaranteed collateral. What is enforced by a contract and what is not is always labeled.
The stablecoin bonding curve
A bonding curve is an automatic market: no order book, no one has to add liquidity. Buyers pay stablecoins in and receive tokens, sellers return tokens and receive stablecoins, and the price rises as supply is bought.
- Starting market cap: 2,000 USDC.
- Graduation: at 34,000 USDC market cap the pool migrates to Meteora DAMM v2 and keeps trading there.
- Trading fee: 2% per trade, set by the stablepad pool configuration, which is public on-chain.
- Supply: 1,000,000,000 tokens with immutable mint authority.
The stablecoin that buyers pay in stays inside the pool as its quote reserve. It can only leave through trades or graduation — there is no creator withdrawal from the curve.
Backing and reserves
Each token page shows a Backing section with the pool's live stablecoin reserve, read directly from Solana, plus the pool address and a Solscan link so you can verify it yourself.
- What it is: the stablecoin currently held by the token's bonding-curve pool.
- What it is not: a guaranteed redemption value or a price floor enforced by a contract.
- Market price vs backing: the market price floats with trading. A stablecoin-quoted token is not price-stable, and we always show the two numbers separately.
Redemption roadmap
True enforced backing — where burning a token contractually pays out its defined share of stablecoin collateral — requires a dedicated on-chain vault program: one that holds collateral per token, blocks creator withdrawals below outstanding obligations, and handles burn-and-pay atomically.
That program is on the stablepad roadmap. Until it is built, audited and verified, no token on stablepad is presented as having enforced redemption. When it ships, redemption availability will appear on token pages as a real, executable contract interaction — never as a label.
Connected-wallet signing
Your connected Solana wallet is the creator, payer and signer for both launch platforms. Its private key stays in your wallet.
- Creation and any dev buy are included in the same transaction.
- The protected development wallet remains blocked from launching.
- Success is shown only after the exact signed transaction confirms on-chain.
- Previous launch-wallet balances can still be recovered; new launches do not create or fund those wallets.
Launching, step by step
- Project. Name, ticker, description, links and logo. The live preview updates as you type. Nothing is sent on-chain yet.
- Market. Choose Meteora stablecoin trading or pump.fun SOL trading.
- Dev buy. Optionally purchase tokens at creation: USDC on Meteora, SOL on pump.fun. Set 0 for no buy.
- Review. Check everything one last time.
- Launch. Your connected wallet pays and signs. After Solana confirms, you get the token address, its stablepad link and its trading page.
Your funds. No separate deposit or withdrawal is needed for new launches. Unspent funds stay in your connected wallet. Previous launch-wallet balances remain accessible through Recover SOL on the Launch page.
Token links, logos and metadata
- Your token's link. The metadata website uses your supplied project website. If blank, it links to stablepad.io/token?address=<contract address>, your live token dashboard.
- Logos. Logos and metadata are stored on IPFS, so explorers, wallets and stablepad can always load them.
- Permanent. Metadata is written on-chain at creation and can't be edited afterwards — double-check the name, ticker and logo before launching.
The token dashboard
Every launch gets the same trading page:
- Header: logo, name, ticker, copyable contract address, live price and change.
- Stats: market cap, liquidity, 24h volume, buy and sell counts, trading fee.
- Backing: live stablecoin reserve, pool address and Solscan verification links.
- Live chart: a GeckoTerminal chart of the token's market.
- Live trades: recent buys and sells with links to each transaction.
- Buy / Sell: trade from your own wallet through Jupiter, with quick amounts, a live estimate and adjustable slippage.
Market data comes from DexScreener and GeckoTerminal, so a brand-new token shows dashes until it's indexed — usually within minutes of its first trades.
Discover, Activity and Reserves
- Confirmed launches. Launch listings require on-chain confirmation. Separately labeled editorial pins link to featured coins and are not counted as launch activity or reserves.
- Tabs: New, Trending and Recent. Trending stays empty until real trading volume exists.
- Activity lists confirmed launches as they happen.
- Reserves shows every launch's live stablecoin pool reserve with on-chain links.
Fees and costs
- Launch: SOL rent and network fees are paid directly by your connected wallet. Any optional dev buy is additional.
- Trading fee: 2% per trade, set in the public stablepad pool configuration.
- Migration: graduation to Meteora DAMM v2 follows the configuration's fixed migration fee.
Risks and limits
stablepad makes backing transparent; it does not make trading safe. Tokens are extremely volatile and most go to zero. A visible stablecoin reserve is not a promise of value, and until the redemption vault ships, no contract guarantees you can swap a token for its backing. On-chain activity is permanent. Never send more than you can afford to lose.
